The Hoosier Hardwood Basketball Association is comprised of the Top Athletes in the state - former NBAD League / Overseas / College & Exceptional High School players. It allows Athletes an opportunity to compete at the highest level - even after College.
The 2014 HHBA Summer League will begin in June.
Scouts will be on hand to observe each players ability. The Top Players chosen from Summer League will earn an opportunity to Try-Out with Semi-Pro Teams and Professional Teams - HHBA Teams / Overseas /
NBAD League / and ABA Teams.
**Summer League is a minimum of (8) games - *($5 per game)
**Top Players earn a Try-Out with Semi-Pro Teams & Pro Teams

Hickory Division - Former High School players who are looking forward to "Reliving their High School Basketball Days"
Legend's Division - (40+) - Former NBA, College, High School players
**All players will compete for a spot on an "Elite Division" Team - "not" based on previous playing experience
Our goal is to host games in the most historic gyms in Indiana…Hoosiers Gym in Knightstown (where Hoosiers Movie was filmed) / New Castle Fieldhouse / Center Grove’s – old gym / Kokomo’s Memorial Gym / Taylor University / and we hope to play the Championship Game at either Hinkle Fieldhouse or on the Pacers Court!
The cost is ($10 per game) to participate in the league. The cost includes the cost of the Game T-Shirt (which is kept by the player), liability insurance, gym rental, officials, basketballs & equipment, etc. The “goal” of this association is to provide the most competitive basketball in Indiana for all divisions.
Try-outs involve an open-gym setting to see players in game time situations. The try-out is open to the public (cost of $60) and the Directors will score each player accordingly to their skill. Coaching Staff will decide which division each players fits best in for our Hoosier Hardwood Season. Try-outs are held at different locations – see below for nearest city and date of the try-out.

To be a team owner you must meet the following criteria:
Coordinate a facility to host (10) home games
Financially be able to sustain incurred costs of Uniforms, Officials, Shirts, Liability Insurance, Gym Rental, Community Advertising budget
Submit a “Marketing/Business Plan” on how you intend to promote your team in your community
Submit payment of $5,000 – as league fee to Hoosier Harwood Basketball Association

Doug Mitchell - was respectfully chosen as Head Coach with USA Basketball (2008), after (3) seasons as a USA Assistant (‘03, ‘05, ‘07). “Mitch” was an assistant for (2) years with the McDonald’s All-American games (2002 & 2003) and was an Assistant Coach with his alma mater, Butler University (1988 – 1993). Doug is currently in his 20th year as head boys basketball coach at North Central High School (Ind.), where he’s earned (2) State Championships – 2010 & 1999. Doug’s basketball success has earned him (2) USA Gold Medals and (1) USA Silver Medal. “It's an honor to wear U-S-A across your chest, and it doesn't get much better than that for a high school coach,” said Mitchell. Doug has seen more than 50 of his players compete in the NCAA and he’s coached NBA talent - LeBron James (Miami Heat), Chris Paul (LA Clippers), Eric Gordon (New Orleans), Mike Connelly (Memphis Grizzlies) and Greg Oden (Miami Heat)
Ron Hecklinski – was named as Head Coach of the Indiana All-Star Team (2010) and was named Head Coach of McDonald’s All-American Team (2003) – a team which included 2-Time MVP, LeBron James & Chris Paul. “Heck” has in incredible career mark of 274-138, with (5) North Central Conference Championships, (5) Sectional Trophies and (1) Regional Championship on his resume. Heck coached (20) years in one of Indiana’s most historic basketball gymnasiums - The Anderson “Wigwam”. Heck’s coaching expertise is impeccable having coached NBA talent - LeBron James (Miami Heat), Chris Paul (LA Clippers) . Doug Mitchell & Ron Hecklinski had the honors of coaching the McDonald’s All-American Team together in (2003).
Bob Petty – is a 2000 graduate of Ball State University, has served as Chairman of the Indiana Class Basketball “All-Star” Classic Games since (2011) - coordinating the 3-Point Contest & Slam Dunk Contest. Bob owned a Sports Fundraising Company for many years and did contract work with the Indiana Pacers & Pacers “VIP” Experiences. In 2010, Bob founded “IMAGINE – IF” – a “free” after school program in Pendleton (Ind), that has now served over (2,000) students in a Christian environment. Bob is now excited about his new venture of starting the Hoosier Hardwood Basketball Association - with a goal of bringing back the love & passion for Indiana High School Basketball - as adults

Transportation: Students will be picked up and transported from school to PCC & parents will pick up @ PCC by 5:30. *Can be picked up earlier if needed
